5 Anzeichen, dass dein Kind die falschen Schuhe trägt - Ebmini®

5 signs that your child is wearing the wrong shoes

  1. Pressure sores, blisters or red toes

Shoes should gently enclose the foot, not constrict it.

If you notice reddened areas, pressure points, or even small blisters after taking off your child's shoes, that's a clear sign: These shoes don't fit properly. Constant pressure, especially during growth, can lead to misalignment or deformity. Therefore, make sure the shoes have enough room in the toe area and are made of soft materials that don't rub.

2. Unnatural gait or frequent stumbling

Is your child suddenly walking unsteadily, stumbling often, or doesn't seem to roll their feet properly?

This could be due to a shoe sole that's too rigid or doesn't fit properly. Conventional shoes with hard soles impede natural walking. Children need shoes that allow them to feel the ground and move freely – just like barefoot shoes .

3. Your child constantly takes off their shoes

Children often express discomfort nonverbally.

If your child keeps taking their shoes off or complains when putting them on, you should pay attention. Uncomfortable shoes that are too heavy or poorly fitting are often instinctively rejected. Barefoot shoes, on the other hand, are so light and soft that children usually don't even notice them—and therefore enjoy wearing them.

4. Limited mobility of the toes

The toes need space to spread and move with each step.

If they are permanently constricted, this can lead to deformities or impaired development. Many children's shoes offer too little room in the forefoot area. Therefore, make a conscious effort to choose a wide toe box, like those offered by EBMINI® barefoot shoes – for natural and healthy development.

5. Pain or discomfort after playing

If your child complains of pain in their feet or legs after playing or running, it may be due to unsuitable footwear.

Hard soles transfer shock to the joints, while flexible soles allow freedom of movement and cushioning. A good shoe actively supports the child – without restricting their freedom of movement.
