Microfiber leather is a high-quality, modern synthetic leather made from a fine-pored microfiber fleece and coated with a durable polyurethane (PU) coating.

In the shoe industry, microfiber leather is now considered the most advanced form of synthetic leather and represents a clear advancement over conventional PU leather, which consists only of coated fabric.

Why is microfiber leather ideal for children's shoes?

Previously, synthetic leather was considered unsuitable for high-quality shoes – microfiber leather has fundamentally changed this reputation .

It is extremely resistant to weather conditions, daily walking, running and playing.
Even with intensive use, it retains its shape, is durable and significantly lighter than genuine leather.

Thanks to its water-repellent properties, microfiber leather is ideal for everyday life, kindergarten and outdoor adventures – without restricting the natural freedom of movement of children's feet.

Environmentally friendly & responsible

Microfiber leather is recognized by PETA as vegan leather and causes less than half the ecological footprint of animal leather.

The tanning of genuine leather requires the use of chemicals and heavy metals, which puts a considerable strain on the environment.
For this reason, EBMINI® has completely switched to high-quality microfiber leather to ensure more sustainable, safer and more responsible production .
